Agreement
to Bid
I, the undersigned, in
consideration of the United States Government offering for public sale the
property described below, agree to bid at least the amount of $325,000.00 for
the property if offered for sale within 120 days from the date of this
agreement.
Property Description: 31.577 Acres, more or less, of which 0.17
acres is situated in Porcion 56, Abstract 295, Jose
Antonio Trevino, Original Grantee, and 31.407 acres is situated in Porcion 57, Abstract 424, Jose Maria de la Garza, Original
Grantee, Webb County, Texas, which property is more particularly described by
metes and bounds on Exhibit A attached.
I authorize the enclosed deposit of $65,000.00 to be
applied against the sale price if I am the successful bidder.
I
further understand and agree that if I do not bid at least the amount specified
in this agreement to bid and the property is not sold within the time specified
above for at least such amount, my deposit will be retained pending final
determination of the damages sustained by the Government because of the
default. If damages exceed the amount of the deposit, I will be liable
for the excess damages.
I
understand that the Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids,
and to withdraw the property from sale.

acres of land, more or less, of which 0.17 acres is situated in Porcion 56, Abstract 295, Jose Antonio Trevino, Original

Texas. Said 31.577 acre tract being out
of a 17,277.3 acre tract of land, about 28 miles southeast of Laredo, Texas
known as the San Antonio Ranch and further described as Share 6 in that
Partition Deed of the Bajo Division of the Bruni Lands dated April 15, 1944, recorded in Volume 178,
Pages 384-397, Deed Records, Webb County, Texas. Said 31.577 acre tract being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit:
BEGINNING at
a ½ inch diameter iron rod found by a fence corner post on the most easterly
line of right-of-way of U.S. Highway 83 at its intersection with the occupied
southeast line of the 3072.0 acre Hermanas Pasture out of said Share 6, the
most southerly corner of this tract, from whence a concrete monument found at
the most southerly corner of said Share 6 and the Hermansas
Pasture bears S 54°2200 W, 156.10 feet;
THENCE N
18°3613 W, with fence and east line of right-of-way of U.S. Highway 83, at 418.35
feet a ½ inch diameter iron rod set under fence for the most westerly corner
hereof;

54°2201 E, at 3103.5 feet pass an overhead high voltage electrical line, and
at a total distance of 3377.47 feet a ½ inch diameter iron rod set for the most
northerly corner hereof;

35°3804 E, at 399.99 feet a ½ inch diameter iron rod set under fence and
occupied southeast line of the aforementioned Hermanas Pasture out of Share 6,
the most easterly corner hereof;
