In his first official trip,
Secretary of the Treasury Jack Lew today traveled to Atlanta, Georgia. While
there, he will meet with business and civic leaders to discuss the state of the
economy and the President’s proposals to make America a magnet for new jobs and
manufacturing, accelerate economic growth, and reduce our deficits in a
balanced way. In the afternoon, Secretary Lew will also visit a Siemens USA manufacturing
plant nearby in Alpharetta to highlight the importance of investing in
infrastructure, manufacturing and innovative technologies to strengthen the
middle class, increase the momentum of the recovery and speed the pace of job
creation.
Secretary Lew will then sit
down with anchors from all three major financial television networks for
interviews set to air today after 4:15 pm EDT. These will be his first
television interviews as Secretary so make sure to tune in. Follow the links
