Treasury Notes

 Sunday Morning Must-See TV

By: Erika Gudmundson
4/15/2011

President Obama delivered a speech this Wednesday at the George Washington University and laid out his plan for a balanced approach to achieve $4 trillion in deficit reduction over twelve years, based on the values of shared responsibility and shared prosperity. The President’s approach borrows from the Bipartisan Fiscal Commission and builds on $1 trillion in deficit reductions in the President’s 2012 budget. At the same time, it will protect the middle-class, defend our commitment to seniors and make the smart investments we need to create good jobs and grow our economy.

Tune in Sunday morning to ABC This Week with Christiane Amanpour and NBC Meet the Press with David Gregory where he'll discuss this new fiscal framework for the country. And in case you missed them earlier this week, watch Secretary Geithner's interviews with PBS Newshour's Jim Lehrer and with Anthony Mason of CBS Evening News.
