FFB holdings of obligations issued, sold or guaranteed by other Federal agencies totaled $29.7 billion on May 31, 2006, posting an increase of $1,228.0 million from the level on April 30, 2006. This net change was the result of an increase in net holdings of government-guaranteed loans of $1,228.0 million. The FFB made 53 disbursements and received 22 prepayments during the month of May. The FFB also reset the interest rate for one loan guaranteed by the Department of Education.
