OFAC has amended the Foreign Assets Control Regulations, 31 C.F.R. Part 500, pertaining to Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (“North Korea”).   Effective May 8, 2006, United States persons are prohibited from owning, leasing, operating, or insuring any vessel flagged by North Korea.
