Notice for TSRA License Holders and Applicants: PDF icon

On January 9, 2007, Bank Sepah and Bank Sepah International PLC were designated pursuant to Executive Order 13382 of June 28, 2005, “Blocking Property of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferators and Their Supporters”.

On October 25, 2007, Bank Mellat, including its branches and certain subsidiaries (Mellat Bank SB CJSC, Persia International Bank PLC); and Bank Melli, including its branches, and certain subsidiaries (Bank Kargoshaee, Bank Melli Iran Zao, Melli Bank PLC, Arian Bank), were also designated pursuant to Executive Order 13382.

On October 25, 2007, Bank Saderat, including its branches and certain subsidiaries, was designated pursuant to Executive Order 13224 of September 23, 2001, “Blocking Property and Prohibiting Transactions With Person Who Commit, Threaten to Commit, or Support Terrorism”.
These designations block all property and interests in property of the above-listed banks, cover all their offices worldwide, and prohibit U.S. persons from engaging in any transactions, directly or indirectly, with those banks. Even if you are holding a valid OFAC license authorizing the exportation or reexportation of agricultural commodities, medicine or medical devices to Iran or Sudan, as of October 25, 2007, you are no longer permitted to engage in any transactions, directly or indirectly, with any of the above-listed banks.
