Secretary Geithner testified before the House Committee on Small Business on “The State of Small Business Access to Capital and Credit” where he discussed the Administration’s efforts to help small businesses expand, invest, and hire. The Administration’s multifaceted policies and programs include tax relief, so small businesses can invest and hire; developing new public-private partnerships to help small businesses access the capital they need to expand; providing assistance so small businesses can more easily reach export markets around the world; and placing a priority on working with small businesses through Federal contracts.
