Under the authority of Section 7506 of the Internal Revenue Code, the property described below will be sold at sealed bid sale. The United States acquired this property under the provisions of Section 6338 e of the Internal Revenue Code, Section 2410, Title 28, United States Code on September 18, 1987. The property was deeded to the United States on September 25, 1987. The sale will be held by sealed bid as follows:

Legal Description: ALL that certain lot or piece of ground in the Borough of Mc Kees Rocks, County of Allegheny, Pennsylvania, being the whole of lot no. 195 and the Easterly ˝ of lot no. 197 in certain plan of lots laid out by Thomas Bell, as duly recorded in the Recorder’s Office of Allegheny County in Plan Book Volume 6, page 287 and being more particularly described as follows, to wit:

BEGINNING on the Southwest side of Chartiers Avenue at the line of lot no. 193 in said plan; thence by said Chartiers Avenue Northwesterly 30’ to a point; thence Southwardly at right angles to Chartiers Avenue and thru said lot no. 197 by a line parallel with the dividing line between lots nos. 193 and 195 a distance of 120’ to line of Furnace Street; thence Easterly by line of Furnace Street 30’ to the line common to lots no. 193 and 195 and thence Northwardly by said common line, 120’ to the place of beginning.

The Terms of Payment: A deposit equal to 20 percent of the highest bid on the property is required upon acceptance of the bid. The remaining balance must be paid no later than March 29, 2018.
 
Form of Payment: All payment must be by cash, certified, cashier´s or treasurer´s check drawn on any bank or trust company incorporated under the laws of the United States. Payment may also be made by any United States Postal, bank, express or telegraph money order. Make check or money order payable to the United States Treasury.
 
*All bids must be submitted on Form 2593, Sealed Bid for Purchase of Property Acquired by the United States. Contact the office below for Forms 2593 and information about the property. Submit bids before March 13, 2018 to Internal Revenue Service, 1000 Liberty Avenue, Room 704, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, Attn John Kenney, PALS.

If the highest bidder defaults in payment of the bid price, and the property is not sold for a at least the amount of the highest bid, the bidder´s deposit will be retained pending final determination of the damages the Government sustained because of the default. If damages are more than the amount of the bidder’s deposit, the bidder will be liable for the excess damages.

The Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to withdraw the property from the sale.
