The Federal Career Intern Program (FCIP)

The Federal Career Intern Program (FCIP) - is designed to help agencies recruit and attract exceptional individual into a variety of occupations and is intended for positions at grade levels GS-5, 7, and 9. In general, individuals are appointed to 2-year internships. Upon successful completion of the internships, the interns may be eligible for permanent placement.

Duration:

2-year internship – upon successful completion may be eligible for permanent placement

Eligibility Requirements :

Those who have diverse professional experiences, academically backgrounds, and/or relevant skills are eligible for the program. The program is not restricted to students. Career intern appointments may be made at any time during the year.

Cover letter (including dates of availability & areas of interest), resume, and a copy of official or unofficial transcripts.

Deadline:

There is no specific deadline. All application materials must be sent to studentemployment@treasury.gov
