 Today at Treasury: Partnership Announced with State Regulators on Supervision of Providers of Consumer Financial Products and Services

At a meeting hosted by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) implementation team at the Treasury Department on Tuesday, Elizabeth Warren and Conference of State Banking Supervisors (CSBS) Chairman Tom Gronstal announced the finalization of a memorandum of understanding to establish a foundation of state and federal coordination and cooperation for supervision of providers of consumer financial products and services, including mortgage lenders, private student lenders, and payday lenders.
