In Case You Missed It: U.S. Currency Featured on CBS Sunday Morning

By: Anthony Reyes

Treasurer Rosie Rios has always acknowledged that the design of United States currency tells the story of who we are as a nation and connects us to our history. The public's fascination with each dollar denomination's intricate artwork has never ebbed and serves as a source of pride for the engravers and artists of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
This long-standing curiosity is why CBS Sunday Morning aired a segment yesterday on the future of design for U.S. currency, featuring interviews with Treasurer Rios and Director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Larry Felix about how the Treasury Department approaches its work in producing the world's famous greenbacks.
