 Secretary Geithner at the Economic Club of New York

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner delivered remarks before the Economic Club of New York.  In his remarks, the Secretary took stock of the U.S. economy since President Obama took office – from the legacy of the crisis and other challenges we have faced to recent signs of a strengthening recovery.  The Secretary also outlined the primary economic imperatives facing the country and reviewed the Administration’s strategy to support economic growth, put in place the right investments and reforms for our future, and restore fiscal sustainability.  Following his remarks, Secretary Geithner participated in a discussion with Alan Blinder of Princeton University and John Lipsky of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
