WASHINGTON – U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin met today with Mexican Secretary of Finance and Public Credit José Antonio Meade.

Secretary Mnuchin underscored the strategic and economic importance of the United States-Mexico bilateral relationship. They discussed the importance of generating stronger economic growth for both countries. Secretary Mnuchin committed to strengthening the close and effective relationship between Treasury and Mexico's Finance Ministry, including strong cooperation to counter money laundering and protect our financial systems from abuse.
