Program Overview

CareerConnector is Enterprise Business Solutions' talent acquisition solution, providing customers with Federal hiring software and associated services purchased through Monster Government Solutions (MGS). Through the CareerConnector Program uses software as a service (SaaS) model to provide its solution and services to Federal agencies. With CareerConnector, Federal agencies can recruit, evaluate, schedule, assess, review, select, and on-board candidates received from USAJOBS. Services include technology hosting, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and Section 508 compliance, technical support, hire integration with HRConnect, where applicable, and other technology solutions included in MGS’s Hiring Management Suite of services.  

CareerConnector offers reporting capability which permits agencies to analyze the data for work performed within this system. Customers seeking more robust reporting that covers additional Human Capital Management functions should consider the use of Treasury’s Workforce Analytics solution within the Enterprise Data Management product suite.

Hiring Management (HM)

The Hiring Management function supports employee recruitment and hiring processes, including the creation and maintenance of job-specific templates, vacancy announcements based on job-specific assessments applicant tracking mechanisms, applicant notifications, and data reports.  Hiring Management is fully integrated with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) USAJOBS site, and enables agencies to meet public notice requirements seamlessly through the USAJOBS interface.

Features Include:

  • Advertising and recruiting on USAJOBS to meet public notice requirements
  • Building vacancy announcements in an easy to follow, wizard-like process
  • Directing applicants through the job application process
  • Accepting documents via USAJOBS, direct uploads, or fax
  • Facilitating role-based reviews of applications and forms
  • Managing applicants and case files electronically
  • Rating and ranking job candidates and applying Veterans Preference
  • Accommodating multi-hurdle and Wage Grade scoring methodologies
  • Facilitating collaboration among panels
  • Allowing hiring manager online review and selection of candidates
  • Retaining and consolidating case file information for auditing purposes
  • Providing an “Auditor” access role for read only case file access
  • Providing reporting and analytics such as the 80-day hiring and Race/National Origin reports
  • Identifying and accommodating configuration points for customer needs

Event Scheduler

Event Scheduler allows scheduling for post-application events in the hiring process.  Events include tasks such as fingerprinting, pre-hire paperwork, etc. 

Features include:

  • Creating, editing, and managing events, event sessions, and event attendee pools
  • Allowing applicants to self-schedule activities based on session capacity
  • Returning results to Hiring Management for further use in the hiring process  

Position Classification (PC)

Position Classification guides users through creating classification documents with a step-by-step wizard that helps Customers comply with OPM guidelines.  The PC functionality helps customers minimize administrative time when building position descriptions, which in turn significantly reduces the overall hiring timeline. Customers can easily edit and adapt reference data to their mission requirements.

Features Include:

  • Including Position Description (PD) Starter Set with over 300 PDs across 109 titles
  • Creating reference library of standard PDs and archive of PDs created in the past to support auditing needs
  • Automating workflow management for collaboration and approval
  • Providing permission-driven access for security and efficient collaboration

CareerConnector Program Services

Monster Government Solutions professional services are available to supplement customer needs.  These professional services include:

  • Enhanced project management through a dedicated project manager
  • New customer implementation and configuration
  • Systems integrations and data extracts, including associated security documentation
  • Complex customized reports
  • Validated content development (e.g., job analyses position descriptions, assessments, interview questions, competencies)
  • Business process reengineering and other change management,
  • Additional Tier 1 - 3 technical support
  • Customer-specific functional enhancements
